The official privacy policy says a third-party payment provider processes the payment. OnlyFans says it does not receive the full card number or security code. That does not remove every risk: use a strong unique password and review every amount before confirming.

Subscriptions can renew

A paid subscription may renew automatically until you turn renewal off. PPV should require you to choose an item and confirm the shown price. Check your subscription settings instead of assuming a payment is one-time.

Privacy is not the same as anonymity

Use a username and profile photo that do not identify you if privacy matters. Do not treat the account as completely anonymous: the platform and payment provider process account and payment data. Age or identity checks may vary by location and circumstance.

What rights you have over your own data

If you are in the EU or EEA, your privacy does not rest only on the settings a platform chooses to give you. The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) gives you rights against any company processing your data, wherever that company is based: Article 15 lets you ask what they hold and get a copy of it, Article 17 is the right to erasure — the “right to be forgotten” — and Article 77 lets you complain to your national supervisory authority.

Worth knowing before you rely on it: erasure is not absolute. Article 17(3)(b) expressly carves out processing that is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, even after you close an account. Anyone who tells you that deleting your account erases every trace is describing something the regulation does not say.

Outside the EU and EEA, your own country’s privacy law applies instead and the rights above may be narrower or absent. In the US, for example, what you can demand depends on your state.

Warning signs to avoid

• Copied profiles: start from the creator’s own official link.
• Off-platform payment requests: do not send money through an unfamiliar transfer link.
• Promises that sound impossible: slow down when someone pressures you into a large payment.
• Weak passwords: never reuse the password from your email or social accounts.
